Former Wisconsin Badgers point guard Chucky Hepburn is transferring to Louisville after three years in Madison.

Hepburn, one of the more prized recruits in recent history for Wisconsin, started all 103 games he played for the Badgers, averaging 9.8 points and 3.0 assists per game over his career.
As a junior in 2023, Hepburn saw his role diminish as Wisconsin brought in St. John’s transfer A.J. Storr, as his output dropped to 9.2 points per game while he evolved into more of a facilitator.
Hepburn’s departure was of much surprise, as the Badgers guard had remained with the program despite fielding interest in the past. Ultimately, it was too much to pass up on this time around, as the point guard entered the transfer portal last week, with Louisville being a team to watch early on.
Hepburn now becomes the eighth transfer for Louisville this offseason, who have completely transformed their roster under first-year head coach Pat Kelsey.
He is expected to reprise the starting point guard role for the Cardinals in his final year of eligibility.
