McIntosh, a three-star recruit in the Class of 2022, moves on with three years of eligibility remaining.
A 6’5, 205-pound wideout initially from Michigan, McIntosh had a bevy of offers coming out of high school before settling on the Badgers.
His name started to pick up steam last spring when the big wideout made a number of highlight plays while working in the two-deep with the top receivers.
However, as the Badgers transfers started to get acquainted with the offense, McIntosh’s opportunities declined, which carried over to this offseason.
Despite the losses of Chimere Dike, Skyler Bell, and Keontez Lewis, McIntosh wasn’t able to carve much of a role with the top offenses this spring, as players such as Quincy Burroughs, C.J. Williams, Vinny Anthony, and Tyrell Henry got more opportunities, making his decision to enter the transfer portal unsurprising.
With McIntosh’s departure, the Badgers are currently at 86 projected scholarships for the fall, one higher than the limit after landing Vanderbilt offensive lineman Leyton Nelson earlier in the week.
McIntosh marks the third departure for the Badgers this spring, joining quarterback Nick Evers and defensive lineman T.J. Bollers.
