Tracking the larger sentiments of Bucks fans week by week
I talked last week in this space about the ever-popular idea of flipping the switch, but how the Bucks’ switch isn’t anything overtly physical (i.e. make more shots, move the ball more, etc.), rather a mental one that then manifests all the physical aspects of a winning team we’ve been wanting to see for weeks. A switch that takes the team from blasé regular-season going-through-the-motions to a focused playoff group. One that makes the extra passes, the second efforts on rebounds and loose balls, that kind of thing. You know, winning plays.
Well, we saw a lot of those on Sunday, even as Indiana dragged themselves back into the game during the second half. Milwaukee had their counterpunches, notably in the Khris Middleton-led second unit lineups of the early second and fourth quarters. The next step is developing a response to whatever the Pacers have for them tonight because they seem likely to just… make more shots after their Game 1 debacle.
In this week’s Tuesday Tracker, we revisit series predictions, talk about Giannis’ calf injury, and discuss Damian Lillard’s big Milwaukee playoff debut. We also are asking about offensive duties beyond Giannis and Dame, plus the standard approval polls.
As always, this poll will be open until midnight Central on Friday, and we’ll post the results later that day. Thanks for voting
