The Green Bay Packers are officially in the post-Aaron Rodgers era, but that doesn’t mean they are rebuilding.
In fact, Packers running back Aaron Jones downplayed any labeling of a rebuild in Green Bay when he spoke with reporters Wednesday.
“Nah, not at all. We’ve got everything we need here. “If you think we’re in a rebuild then you got the wrong team, wrong place,” Jones said, via Kyle Malzhan of WFRV. “We’re here to play ball. We’ve got everything we need like we said.
“We’re hungry. We’re ready to prove a lot of people wrong. We know what people are saying, but everybody has an opinion and most of them stink.”

With Rodgers, the Packers went 8-9 and missed the playoffs in 2022, finishing third in the NFC North.
On paper though, Green Bay returns plenty of defensive talent, and while wide receivers Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard left with Rodgers, the Packers are high on Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs. They also added wideouts Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks, plus tight ends Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft in the NFL Draft.
How much the Packers are or aren’t rebuilding will likely come down to the play of quarterback Jordan Love, who will finally be the team’s full-time starter in Year 4.
