Wisconsin football fans are eager to watch the Luke Fickell era commence in 2023.
The school said Wednesday that 95.2 percent of past season-ticket subscribers have re-upped their order for the upcoming season. It’s their highest retention rate since 2018.
Wisconsin has also reached 99 percent capacity on premium seating, with a few east side and indoor club suites remaining. Furthermore, the program sold its most early-bird season tickets from Oct. 26 through Jan. 6.
Based on these early trends, Badgers fans may be their most excited since a 13-1 campaign that culminated with an Orange Bowl victory in 2017.
Wisconsin didn’t meet lofty expectations last season, firing Paul Chryst after a 2-3 start and finishing 7-6. The school hired Fickell, who transformed Cincinnati into a powerhouse after a season at Ohio State. He led the Badgers to a Guaranteed Rate Bowl win over Oklahoma State in his team debut.
New season tickets go on sale May 31, and Wisconsin will begin selling single-game tickets to the general public on June 26.
