Titletown Takes: Green Bay Packers Predictions for Difficult November Schedule

October 30, 2024 by Last Word On Pro Football

Green Bay Packers Predictions

The Green Bay Packers (6-2) sit in a pretty position going into the month of November, giving them all the reason to celebrate this Halloween after an undefeated October. The defense remains elite through eight games despite facing countless injuries in their secondary, and the offense made plays when they needed to. The addition of game-winning kicker Brandon McManus has also worked wonders for head coach Matt LaFleur. After a spectacular 4-0 performance for the month of October, can the Packers keep up the pace as competition intensifies? Here are the Green Bay Packers predictions as they prepare to take on two division rivals, a familiar threat in the NFC, and a top offense in the AFC.

Green Bay Packers Predictions for Game Matchups and Player Performances in the Month of November

Detroit Lions

The Packers will start off their November against Dan Campbell’s Lions for a spectacular Game of the Week matchup that hopes to see QB Jordan Love come back after suffering a groin injury early against Jacksonville. After rookie cornerback Evan Williams left the game with a hamstring injury, Green Bay’s defense struggled against Trevor Lawrence, allowing the Jaguars to score 27 points. The Lions have been on a tear offensively, scoring 40 or more in 3 of their last four games, which is a scary sight for a depleted Packers defense.

With Love, Williams, and Jaire Alexander possibly seeing more of the sideline next Sunday, it is difficult to see an outcome where the Lions offense does not continue to shine, even on the road at Lambeau Field.

Prediction: Lions 31, Packers 17

6-3

Chicago Bears

Green Bay will travel to Soldier Field following their bye week to play Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears for the first time this season. With RB D’Andre Swift becoming heavily involved in the Bears offense as of late as well as a top-tier receiving corps at the rookie QBs disposal, Green Bay will be up for a hefty task in eliminating all options.

Like the offense, the Bears defense have not been anything to bat an eye at either, ranking top five in per-game points allowed, per-game red zone scoring percentage, and per-game touchdowns allowed. With the Packers defense becoming mostly healthy again after a long break, expect a low-scoring grudge match that ends in Green Bay’s favor to extend the Packers win streak against Chicago to 11 straight.

Prediction: Packers 16, Bears 13

7-3

San Francisco 49ers

Brock Purdy and the 49ers will travel to Green Bay for a rare away game, as the 49ers have faced the Packers on the road in 5 of their last 6 matchups. In the last five games, Green Bay has taken every regular season matchup while the 49ers have come out on top in the playoffs. However, the past two seasons that the 49ers have started 3-4 have witnessed a mid-to-late season surge.

As the 49ers struggle without their top threat at receiver and the best running back in football, Green Bay will reign supreme in this regular season matchup on home turf.

Prediction: Packers 30, 49ers 24

8-3

Miami Dolphins

Following the 49ers, the Packers will host the Miami Dolphins for a Thanksgiving matchup at Lambeau Field, With Tua Tagovailoa back in the mix for Miami, the Dolphins offense could give the Packers secondary trouble due to their big play potential in wideouts Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Offensively, Green Bay should look to exploit Miami’s poor run defense with RB Josh Jacobs coming into his own.

Although Tagovailoa may revive Miami’s offense, it will be difficult to kickstart an offense that is ranked at the bottom of the league in multiple scoring and efficiency categories. The Packers should look to take care of business and break a leg defensively on Turkey Day.

Prediction: Packers 29, Dolphins 16

9-3

Offensive Player of the Month

Tucker Kraft

While Kraft has become quite the weapon for Love as of late, he will only continue to see improvement under his wing with the absence of Luke Musgrave. Because defenses will be focused on the four-headed monster of Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Dontayvion Wicks, Kraft will remain a piece that can provide big plays downfield and be a red zone threat.

Defensive Player of the Month

Edgerrin Cooper

Given that Quay Walker has been sidelined, Green Bay has looked to multiple linebackers to fill his place. With Eric Wilson and Isaiah McDuffie to compete with for snaps, it will be tough for Cooper to see the amount of snaps he deserves. Yet, as a playmaker, Cooper has given Jeff Hafley all the reason to be on the field more often. Cooper has proven he is more gifted athletically than either of the Packers options at linebacker and with Cooper recording more and more snaps per game, it would not be surprising to see Cooper come alive in November.
