Is Tucker Kraft ready to take another leap in 2025?

The Green Bay Packers have an interesting array of weapons heading into the 2025 season, though many remain relatively unproven.

Though one player who doesn’t need to prove his worth — and in fact, may be primed for a star turn — is tight end Tucker Kraft.

After intriguing fans and coaches in 2023, he emerged in 2024 as Green Bay’s clear No. 1 tight end, solidifying that role with 50 catches, 707 yards, and seven touchdowns (second-most on the team).

His 14.1 yards per catch already ranked him among the elite at his position, and head coach Matt Lafleur sees it as his staff’s job to help Kraft take the next step.

Speaking with the media recently, Lafleur said, “I think that’s on us to make sure that we find him and feature him. When he gets the ball in his hands, you feel him. So, if there is an area that we gotta do a better job on, I would say featuring the tight end.”

With Christian Watson’s recovery timeline potentially pushing deep into the season, and with other uncertainties in the skill position department, Kraft could be relied upon even more early on, and could possibly earn star player consideration (if he’s up to the task).
