The NFL sure isn’t hurting for money.

The start of training camp brings optimism and hope for the 32 fan bases around the NFL. (Well, maybe for 31 of them — sorry, Cleveland.) But along with that new-season feeling, late July also brings a look inside the financials of the National Football League thanks to the Green Bay Packers’ ownership structure.

Because they are publicly owned, the Packers release a financial report every season that reveals the amount of money that each NFL team receives through revenue sharing. As one would expect, that number was at a record high on this year’s report, indicating that overall league revenues now exceed $13 billion in total.

Packers owners will find out more about the financial picture on Friday, when the team holds its annual Shareholders Meeting. Before that, however, there are two more open practices — on Thursday and Friday morning — to get through as fans look forward to seeing more of what this team will put on the field during the 2025 season.

Day one on Wednesday was a fun kickoff to camp, and all told the news on the injury front seems relatively positive for the Packers. Let’s look at that topic and much more in today’s curds.

That number is up from last year’s $402.3 million, meaning that the league revenue increased by $30 million per team for a total of roughly $960 million in total.

It looks like the Packers have avoided any long-term injuries at the start of camp, aside from Christian Watson’s ACL recovery and 7th-round rookie John Williams’ back issue.

Indeed, Walker sat out the first practice of the summer yesterday but passed his physical just hours later. It will probably still take him a few days to get back to full practice participation, however.
