The Packers are three days away from the start of the 2025 NFL season. On top of that, the Packers will play two games over the next seven days. Packer football is officially back. Excitement is at an all time due to the recent acquisition of Micah Parsons. This was a move that the Packers do not normally make so the fact that Brian Gutekunst pulled this off goes to show that he believes his team is ready to compete for championships.
The Packers were not gifted an easy start to the season. The Packers host the Detroit Lions on Sunday and then welcome the 2024 NFC Runner-UP Washington Commanders, four days later. Green Bay cannot afford a slow start. The Packers are 1-5, 0-3 at Lambeau, against the Lions over the past three seasons. Washington is expected to be a playoff team so the Packers have an opportunity to grab control early on in 2025.
Micah Parsons is a Green Bay Packer after a shocking trade between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers. It is clear that the Packers brass believe their team is close to being a Super Bowl contender but now that Gutekunst has brought in a bonafide star, the Packers are legit Super Bowl contenders. Packers management thinks the youngest team in the NFL, after back to back playoff appearances, is ready. Love, Jacobs, McKinney, Gary, Kraft, Tom, Rasheed and Quay Walker, and Nixon are ready to meet the moment.
Packers QB Jordan Love Says He is Ready

On Wednesday, the Packers QB Jordan Love told the media that he is ready to go. Not only is Love ready to play at full speed with the thumb injury but he believes he is ready to lead this Packers offense in a commanding way. Love also told Larry McCarren that he believes after the past two seasons, the rest of the roster understands what is at stake this year.
The Packers are certainly showing and talking like they are ready for the challenge but the team does need to put results together. Love mentioned the level of urgency to start fast and be on the attack is high for the Packers. In 2024, the Packers struggled out of the gate against the Lions, the Vikings, and even the Eagles, three teams that the Packers will face again in 2025. Lambeau will be loud and it will be rocking Sunday so if the Packers can start fast, the pressure will ramp up for Detroit.
The opportunity for the Packers is right there. The team has a talented QB, a ton of potential in their pass catchers, upcoming stars on the offensive line, an All-Pro RB, an All-Pro edge rusher, another Pro Bowl edge rusher, an All-Pro safety, and uber talented second year LB. The Packers have the pieces in place and they sound to ready to go. Cheers to the start of the 2025 season and as always, Go! Pack Go!
