The Best Tight End in the NFL Plays for the Packers

November 1, 2025 by Packers Talk

It was only fitting that last Sunday on National Tight Ends Day that Tucker Kraft had arguably the best game of his career so far. That’s right, the best tight end in the NFL plays for the Packers.

Last Sunday, the Packers played against their former face of the franchise, Aaron Rodgers. While the main matchup of the night was highlighted around Jordan Love and Aaron Rodgers, Tucker Kraft stole the show.

Kraft caught seven passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns. He logged 128 yards after the catch against. Kraft currently sits second in the league among all pass catchers for yards after the catch.

Kraft on his big game, “Any time I get the ball in my hands, all I’m thinking about is north-south. How can I squeeze every amount of yards out of this play? Those opportunities came to me today, and I just executed.”

The Packers have found an absolute gamechanger at tight end, and they need to continue to get him the ball. From growing up playing nine-man football, to being selected in 3rd round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Tucker Kraft is the real deal.

Last Sunday, Kraft fell just short of the Packers’ record for most receiving yards by a tight end ever as Richard Rodgers holds the record with 146.

Arguably one of Kraft’s biggest plays of the night, as per the video above, came just at the right time. The Packers were trailing 16-7 at the time and were facing a third down.

Fresh out of halftime with little luck moving the ball beforehand, Kraft ignited the Packers offense, who did not punt in the second half.

Jordan Love on Kraft following his big performance, “He’s a big-time player, and I think everybody’s seen what he’s capable of when he gets the ball in his hands, just making guys miss, running people over, getting those extra yards.”

The Packers are set to face the Carolina Panthers at Lambeau Field on Sunday at noon. The Panthers are in the hunt in the NFC and currently sit at 4-4.

The Panthers have losses to the Jaguars, Cardinals, Patriots and Bills. This Panthers team is likely at its best strength Green Bay has played as of late.

The keys to Sunday? Get Tucker Kraft the ball. Of course, the importance also lies within Jordan Love, who also had an outstanding performance against Pittsburgh last Sunday as well.

Let Jordan Love sling it, and he will find the best tight end in the league to fight for those yards after catch. Overall, the second half against the Steelers was the best the Packers have looked since weeks 1 and 2 of the season.

Prediction for Sunday: Packers 35 – Panthers 21. Packers stay hot and Tucker Kraft has another monster game and continues to prove that he is the best tight end in the NFL.
