Report: What Packers Want For Aaron Rodgers Revealed

July 26, 2021 by The Spun Leave a Comment

Aaron Rodgers leading his Green Bay Packers team onto the field.

The Green Bay Packers’ asking price for Aaron Rodgers is understandably high.

According to multiple reports, Rodgers wants out of Green Bay. He reportedly demanded a trade earlier this offseason. The Packers have yet to give into that request, while Rodgers has yet to show up for any offseason function. Rodgers skipped voluntary OTAs and mandatory minicamp.

With training camp approaching, a trade might be increasing in likelihood. The Packers might be forced to decide between trading Rodgers or letting him sit out the year.

If Rodgers is traded, the Packers will likely get a haul back. According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, Green Bay is asking for quite a bit.

Per a league source, the Broncos are leery about the total cost of trading for Rodgers, between his expected compensation and the general belief that the Packers would want three first-round picks and a second-round pick for him.

It’s been presumed that, if the Packers decide to make Aaron Rodgers available in trade, the Broncos would pounce on the opportunity. That may not be the case. https://t.co/sGKTNND26i

The Broncos have been the team mentioned the most for Rodgers. However, as Pro Football Talk notes, the Packers’ asking price might be too high for Denver.

Green Bay is scheduled to open training camp later this week. The Packers are scheduled to report on July 28.

We’ll likely know more about where Rodgers stands then.
