Green Bay might be sporting a yellow jersey with an airbrushed “leather” helmet in 2025.

The Green Bay Packers will debut an airbrushed “leather” helmet this summer that will be worn with the Packers’ 1950s throwback uniforms during the 2025 regular season. According to SportsLogos.net’s Andrew Lind, who does great work covering uniform changes in the NFL and other sports leagues, the Packers are going to unveil their helmet on July 23rd.

For what it’s worth, that’s the same day that Green Bay’s training camp will begin, a practice that will be open to the public, and two days before the Packers’ shareholders meeting.

Previous reports claimed that Green Bay’s new helmet will look similar to the University of Illinois’ helmet, another airbrushed “leather” helmet.

Below are the 1950s uniforms that they will likely be matched with, though Lind claims that the Packers “have one jersey slot available,” per league rules.

From 1950 to 1953, before the Packers started wearing their traditional green home uniforms with white numbers and yellow and white stripes and white uniforms with green numbers and green and yellow stripes, Green Bay actually wore three sets of uniforms: a green set with yellow numbers and stripes (similar to the Packers’ current 1950s throwbacks), a yellow set with green numbers and stripes and a white set with green numbers and stripes.

Lind theorizes that Green Bay could be bringing back the yellow jersey, which would certainly take some adjusting to.
