Adam Schefter’s ESPN hasn’t heard about Green Bay moving around in the first round
In a massive article detailing the latest rumors surrounding the 2025 NFL Draft, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that eight teams are “interested in moving back” in the first round of Thursday’s draft. Only one team, according to Schefter — the Denver Broncos — is looking to move up.
Last week, Denver’s brain trust told the public that they believe that the 10th overall pick is roughly equal to the 20th to 39th pick in the draft. With the Broncos holding the 20th overall pick in the draft, it sure seems like Denver is trying to move up very high in the draft, based on Schefter’s reporting.
According to Schefter, the teams that want to trade back are the Jacksonville Jaguars (5th overall pick), Carolina Panthers (8th), San Francisco 49ers (11th), Atlanta Falcons (15th), Seattle Seahawks (19th), Pittsburgh Steelers (21st) and Minnesota Vikings (24th). The Green Bay Packers are wedged between the Steelers and Vikings, owning the 23rd overall pick.
The Vikings only have four picks in the draft, but the number of draft picks a team owns doesn’t necessarily correlate with interest in trading back in the first round. For example, the Seahawks have an extra second-round pick from the DK Metcalf trade and an extra third-round pick from the Geno Smith trade, but Schefter stated that the team is still looking to add more picks.
Beyond just trading high picks for more picks, Schefter said that the following players could be moved this week via trade:
- Kirk Cousins, QB, Falcons
- Will Levis, QB, Titans
- Sam Howell, QB, Seahawks
- Travis Etienne Jr., RB, Jaguars
- Rachaad White, RB, Buccaneers
- George Pickens, WR, Steelers
- Treylon Burks, WR, Titans
- Jalin Hyatt, WR, Giants
- Kayshon Boutte, WR, Patriots
- Dallas Goedert, TE, Eagles
- Mark Andrews, TE, Ravens
- Evan Neal, OL, Giants
- Trey Hendrickson, EDGE, Bengals
- Odafe Oweh, EDGE, Ravens
- Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Giants
- Tyree Wilson, EDGE, Raiders
- Jalen Ramsey, CB, Dolphins
- Jaire Alexander, CB, Packers
- Greg Newsome II, CB, Browns
A new name on this list is Odafe Oweh, who recorded double-digit sacks with the Baltimore Ravens last season. Oweh is set to play on his fifth-year option, which comes at the cost of $13.2 million in 2025. He almost certainly is due for a big payday this offseason.
