Packers Wide Receiver Makes Eye-Popping Jordan Love, Aaron Rodgers Comparison

June 29, 2023 by The Spun

Aaron Rodgers is a New York Jet, but one of his former teammates believe that his replacement is just as good as the four-time MVP.

Jordan Love is set to take over for Rodgers this season, the Packers’ first new franchise quarterback in nearly two decades.

Love has impressed many people within the organization in camp this season, including head coach Matt LaFleur. One wide receiver believes in Love’s ability so much that he compared him to Rodgers.

Young Packers receiver Romeo Doubs says that Love “can do the exact same thing” as Rodgers.

If that’s true, Love has a lot to live up to. In addition to the four MVPs, Rodgers is a Super Bowl champion and 10-time Pro Bowl selection.

For comparison, heading into this season, Love has made one start in the NFL in a losing effort against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Doubs isn’t the only Packer with a high opinion of Rodgers. Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander says Love is the “best quarterback in the league.”

Some may believe that the Packers are due to take a step back from the years of success they enjoyed under Rodgers, but that belief is apparently not shared internally.

The Packers really do believe in Jordan Love, from the coaching staff to his teammates. If he can live up to the praise, Green Bay may have yet another great quarterback on their hands.
