Mark Murphy, writing in response to a question in his monthly mailbag Murphy Takes Five on the Packers website, let everyone know they can start making their summer plans.
According to Murphy, the first day of training camp practice will take place at Ray Nitschke Field10:30am on Monday, July 22nd. The annual shareholders meeting will take place later that afternoon in Lambeau Field at 3pm.
A reminder for anyone planning on attending training camp and hoping to see some hitting: The collective bargaining agreement has strict protocols for how each of the first seven days of training camp must be structured. In each of the first three days, no contact is allowed. The next two days, teams are allowed to run some competitive drill work in helmets and shorts, The sixth day is a mandatory rest day. Day 7 of camp, this year falling on July 28th, will be the first day pads are allowed to be worn at practice.
See you in Green Bay on the 28th.
