The Packers elevated LaDarius Hamilton from the Practice Squad as a Covid Replacement Player for the game against the Rams. Inactive players were David Bakhtiari (knee), Kevin King (hip/knee), Malik Taylor (abdomen), Vernon Scott and Jack Heflin. Dennis Kelly, Jordan Love and Jake Hanson were active but did not play.

The Packers ran the ball 32 times for 92 yards, a 2.9-yard average. The yards came hard, but they came. Per Pro Football Focus, the Packers gained an average of 2.7 yards on first down runs, with 94% of that yardage coming after contact. It seemed to me that the Packers ran right up the middle a lot, including often behind the right guard, Royce Newman. It stands to reason that there might often be some contact when running between the tackles so much.
Dillon rushed 20 times for 69 yards, a 3.5-yard average. His long run was 8 yards. Aaron Jones received 10 carries and gained 23 yards (2.3-yard average) with a long of 8. Jones rushed 8 times in the first half but just twice in the second half. He lost two yards in the second half on his carries. Dillon carried the ball 14 times for 51 yards (3.64 yards per carry) in the second half. Clearly, the Packers used Dillon as a battering ram. It also may be that Jones was on a snap count due to his recent MCL injury.
Aaron Rodgers was hit five times and sacked once. Per PFF, the line was responsible for two of those 5 QB hits with both allowed by Yosh Nijman, and they assigned 20 pressures to the Packers’ offensive linemen. The pressure allowed was significant, though PFF credits Rodgers’ elite movement skills for alleviating some of the pressure. Rodgers completed 7 of 16 passes on third down with 5 passes resulting in first downs. The Packers converted 7 of 19 third downs overall, or 38.6%. Nijman had an important fumble recovery.
Josiah Deguara finishing with the most snaps at tight end is interesting. With Cobb leaving the game with a groin injury, the Packers did not turn to Amari Rodgers, who finished with 2 offensive snaps. Those snaps went to Equanimeous St. Brown and Allen Lazard.

The Rams running backs carried the ball 19 times for 69 yards, a 3.64 average. They average just 3.92 yards per carry in the first half on 12 carries. Kenny Clark had 6 tackles (3 solo), one sack, and a tackle for loss (2 TFL per PFF) to go with a number of pressures. Krys Barnes led the Packers with 9 tackles (7 solo). Rasul Douglas and Adrian Amos contributed 5 (3 solo) and 4 solo tackles, respectively. Clark and Gary each had 2 QB hits with Dean Lowry contributing one QB hit. Gary had a sack with a forced fumble.
Rasul Douglas gave up a long touchdown completion but he had a good day otherwise with 4 passes defensed, including an interception that he returned for a touchdown. Eric Stokes rebounded in this game, allowing just 3 completions on 10 targets for 20 yards, per PFF. He broke up two passes and had 3 solo tackles. Chandon Sullivan appeared to be responsible for the other long touchdown reception.
Tipa Gileai played 28 snaps while LaDarius Hamilton played 17 snaps. Rashan Gary may have been on a snap count. Hamilton had 3 tackles (2 solo) while Gileai had one solo tackle. As the Packers opened up their lead in the second half, the need for size on the defensive line was less than normal, which perhaps resulted in lower snap counts for Tyler Lancaster and Tederall Slaton.
