The Packers averaged 4.6 yards per carry in the first half and 3.8 yards per carry in the second half.  For the game, the Packers and the Jets both averaged 4.2 yards per carry.  The Jets had 1 sack, 2 quarterback hits, and 5 tackles for loss.  The Packers took a long look at Braden and had Nijman play a lot of snaps in another preseason game.  Royce Newman was another lineman who got a long look.

Benkert completed 12 passes on 16 attempts for 103 yards (6.6 yards/attempt) with a touchdown, good for a passer rating of 112.2.  Benkert had several noteworthy throws, including a completion to Sternberger for a touchdown.  That was a nice 12 yard out caught perhaps 7 yards deep in the end zone.  Benkert also completed a 23-yard pass to Taylor while under pressure that was initially ruled incomplete but was challenged and reversed.  Benkert threw a nice back shoulder pass to Taylor for 21 yards on another scoring drive, and showed that he could throw with accuracy on the move.  Benkert completed 6 of 9 passes for 48 yards in the second half and (according to Matt LaFleur) airmailed a pass that was intercepted.  He finished with an 83.9 passer rating.  It is interesting that Malik Taylor did not play on special teams.  He played 181 snaps on STs last season, so perhaps the Packers wanted to see what other players could do.  Reggie Begelton caught 2 passes on 4 targets for 15 yards.  He did return 2 punts for 35 yards, including a nifty 28-yard return during which he broke three tackles.  The Packers had only three tight ends available, so all of them played significant snaps.

Dillon had 4 carries during his 7-snap night, good for 28 yards and a 7.0 average.  He looked like a tank.  Dillon also caught 2 passes on 2 targets, both for 6 yard gains.  Dillon was heavily featured in the first scoring drive.  Kylin Hill rushed 7 times for 29 yards (4.1 average), including a 12-yard touchdown.  His vision looked much better.  Patrick Taylor rushed 8 times for 48 yards, an 8.0 average, and he caught 1 of 3 targets for 7 yards.  However, he fumbled the ball once.  Dexter Williams rushed 8 times for 22 yards (2.8 average) and returned 2 kickoffs for 53 yards, including a long of 32.  Williams (12) and Patrick Taylor (9) both received a good look on special teams.
