Packers Shine in Primetime Defeating the Steelers

October 27, 2025 by Packers Talk

The Packers went into halftime trailing the Steelers by nine points. The script for a disastrous finish seemed inevitable. Most notably, Brandon McManus missed two field goals, keeping six points off the board in crucial moments.

However, the Packers came out of the gate in the second half ready to dominate. No one missed a beat; they were poised and determined. The moment wasn’t too big for this team. There isn’t a game that is perfect, but this became the most complete game since week one.

Jordan Love was on an absolute heater, boasting a stat line of 29 for 37, 360 yards and three touchdowns. Love had total command of the offense, and he did not take a sack. He completed twenty passes in a row, a feat that has not been seen for the Packers since Brett Favre in 2007.

This game shows what the Packers can and should look like when the offense and defense play cohesively and up to their talent level. Arguably this game will be their biggest story line of the regular season, and they answered the questions.

Jordan Love Leads the Packers with Confidence

Jordan Love seems to divide a lot of the national media. There is a corner that seems to be huge fans of him, seeing the undeniable talent. There is also a corner that is highly critical of him, saying he is lucky or careless.

Last night, Love’s performance made a statement. Right in front of Aaron Rodgers, Love led them down the field time and time again. You can tell he has the trust of the entire team. The addition of Christian Watson made a noticeable difference.

Watson was back from injury after tearing his ACL in week 18. Watson is a do it all receiver. Not only is he a terrific downfield threat, but he also makes key blocks in crucial situations. Watson might have shown that he is truly the missing piece. The offense’s explosiveness jumped off the page.

Tucker Kraft also continues to show why he belongs in the conversations of the best tight end in the league. He is full of pure grit mentality.

While the defense was up and down, Micah Parsons showed once again this week why you trade for him. He continuously mauled through the Steelers offensive line to get to the quarterback.

Overall, this performance from the Packers showed the league the kind of team they are. Yes, you will have those brutal losses, a frustrating tie, and slow starts. However, how you answer the call in a primetime game shows everything, and Jordan Love is continuing to answer that call.
