Packers QB Jordan Love Can Be Trusted

October 30, 2025 by Packers Talk

Jordan Love, the reigning NFC Offensive Player of the Week, shined against his old mentor Sunday night in Pittsburgh. Love played one of his best games since taking over as the Packers starting QB. Love dominated the Steelers and outdueled the former Packer legend, Aaron Rodgers. Throughout the season, Love has been more than efficient when the Packers needed him most. His 2nd half and 4th quarter numbers speak for himself.

The Packers last two wins have been come from behind victories. Due to slow offensive starts, whether that was a frustrating game plan or poor execution, the Packers had to dig themselves out of a hole. In their last three 4th quarters, including the win over the Bengals, which was pretty much in hand, the Packers have scored 52 points. The point is when the Packers have had to have it, Jordan Love has answered the call.

Through 7 games, Jordan Love has a completion percentage of 66.7, 273 yards, 5 touchdown passes, 1 INT, and a passer rating of 119.1 in the 4th quarter when the score is within 7 points. On top of that, during the 2nd half, Love has a completion percentage of 68.5, 765 yards, 7 touchdowns, 1 INT, and a passer rating of 116.6, per NFL.com. He is delivering at a high level in the critical moments.

Jordan Love’s Numbers Are Proving the Point

Jordan Love

Jordan Love’s stats confirm that he can be trusted in critical moments, but to further prove the point, Love’s EPA is through the roof. EPA measures how much a player affects the team’s chances of scoring. When trailing, Jordan Love is 2nd in EPA behind Bo Nix. When the Packers are trailing, Jordan Love has a higher EPA than Mahomes, Stafford, Allen, Mayfield, etc..

In addition to his performance when the Packers have trailed, in late down situations (3rd and 4th down), Love is number 1 in EPA. His total EPA in late down situations is 33.91, just beating out Colts QB Daniel Jones. In standard, overall EPA, Jordan Love finds himself third on that list behind Patrick Mahomes and Daniel Jones. He is playing at an elite level and is a major reason behind the Packers 5-1-1 start.

Sunday night’s game against the Steelers was the most watched Sunday night game of the season so far. On the biggest stage, with another chance to prove himself and prove the Packers right, Love went 29-37, threw for 360 yards, 3 touchdowns, and delivered a passer rating of 134.2. Oh, and he threw 20 straight completions. Jordan Love is capable of playing under the brightest of lights. He can certainly be trusted in those moments.
