WR Dontayvion Wicks and DT Colby Wooden were listed as questionable versus Houston on Friday
Every player other than defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt (ankle) practiced for the Green Bay Packers in their final practice of the week on Friday before they play the Houston Texans at Lambeau Field. After practice, the Packers announced that Wyatt was the only player ruled out for the team going into this weekend’s matchup.
Aside from Wyatt, the players listed as questionable for Green Bay are receiver Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) and defensive tackle Colby Wooden (knee). When asked about Wicks’ status today, head coach Matt LaFleur only stated that Wicks looked “questionable,” a callback to when he repeated “limited” as answers to questions about Jordan Love’s status for weeks on end.
Earlier this week, LaFleur said that the team “dodged a bullet” with Wicks’ shoulder injury last week, so they’re relatively optimistic about his status. Wicks has been a limited participant in every practice since Wednesday.

Wooden’s status is interesting, because if he’s not ready for action and Wyatt is out that leaves the Packers with only three defensive tackles on the 53-man roster: Kenny Clark, T.J. Slaton and Karl Brooks. If that’s the case, the team will almost certainly bring up defensive tackle Jonathan Ford, who is currently designated to return from the injured reserve, to their active roster. Green Bay would need to make room on the 53-man roster for that transaction, though, meaning that there will need to be a corresponding release with Ford’s activation.
On the Texans’ side of the injury report, they’ll be out linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, cornerback Kamari Lassiter, linebacker Henry To’oTo’o, safety Jimmie Ward and receiver Robert Woods. All of those players have been significant contributors to the team this year. Defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi and receiver Steven Sims were also listed as questionable on Friday.
