Packers Fans Will Love What Patriots Star Said About Jordan Love

There have been a lot of negative opinions aired about Jordan Love’s viability as the Green Bay Packers’ starting quarterback. But one New England Patriots star is singing his praises.

Speaking to the media today, Patriots pass rusher Matt Judon said that Love is a good player who will be a “great leader” for the organization. He also highlighted his arm talent in his praise.

“He’s a good kid, very calm, composed,” Judon said, via Ryan Wood of PackersNews.com. “I think he’s going to be a great leader for this organization, a good player. We all can see the arm talent. He’s got some nice arm talent.”

Those are some nice compliments. Unfortunately, those things he likes about Love aren’t the aspects most analysts are taking issue with.

Asked Pats LB Matthew Judon what were his impressions of Jordan Love through 2 joint practices: “He’s a good kid, very calm, composed. I think he’s going to be a great leader for this organization, a good player. We all can see the arm talent. He’s got some nice arm talent.”

The criticisms of Jordan Love largely center on his athleticism not being as good as the team was expecting when they drafted him in 2020. Arm talent can only take a quarterback so far in this day and age.

Love doesn’t have to be Aaron Rodgers (though that was certainly a hope when he was drafted), but he does need to be average to above average. That’s what fans and analysts are concerned about right now: Is he?
