Packers Fans Have ‘Classless’ Reaction To Aaron Rodgers’ Injury

September 12, 2023 by The Spun

Aaron Rodgers’ stint with the Jets started off in the worst way possible. On Monday night, the four-time MVP suffered a serious Achilles injury against the Bills.

The Jets believe Rodgers ruptured his Achilles. That injury could very well end his career depending on whether or not he wants to deal with a lengthy rehab.

Unfortunately, there were fans happy to see Rodgers carted off the field at MetLife Stadium.

Jack’s American Pub in Milwaukee promised their customers free drinks if the Jets lost to the Bills.  So when Rodgers went down, fans at the bar assumed the Jets would lose with Zach Wilson under center. As a result, they cheered when Rodgers went down.

Here’s the video from Jack’s American Pub that’s going viral for all the wrong reasons:

The people hear roared when Rodgers got sacked…and cheered again when they realized he was hurt.

The free booze condition is Rodgers must start the game. Doesn’t say anything about him needing to finish it https://t.co/e0D3XyBXDR pic.twitter.com/FolOHTK9Nd

This is a terrible look for every Packers fan who was actually happy Rodgers got hurt.

Fortunately, the joke’s on them. The Jets rallied around their injured quarterback and stunned the Bills in overtime.

And for what it’s worth, Rodgers’ injury will actually negatively impact Green Bay this season.

The Packers needed Rodgers to play in 70 percent of the Jets’ offensive snaps this year in order to receive a 2024 first-round pick. Instead, they’ll have to settle for a second-rounder.
