For the past several seasons, the Lions have had the Packers number. The only bright spot has been Thanksgiving 2023 when the Packers marched into Ford Field and defeated the Lions 29-22.
However, since then it seems like the Packers cannot quite get past the Lions. While it has been a joke that the Lions are a little brother, the Packers have taken on the role of little brother lately.
I did not expect the Packers to win. Nevertheless, it was all gas and no brakes. This team came to play, and they came to show that they deserve to be one of the top teams in the NFC.
Micah Parsons: The Packers Missing Piece

All week long the talk around Lombardi Avenue was the entrance of Micah Parsons. The defense ended up being announced. Of course, the only fitting way to end the introductions was with Parsons himself.
While Parsons was on a snap count, it did not take long for him to make his presence known. During his first series, he went right past Penei Sewell to get pressure on Jared Goff.
With four minutes left in the game, Parsons secured his first sack in a Packer uniform. Even on a limited snap count, his addition adds a jolt to the entire team. In this game, the confidence of the entire team was evident.
Jordan Love looked more like his 2023 season. After the opener against the Eagles last season, Love was injured and was never the same.
Love completed 16 passes to 10 different receivers. With Tucker Kraft and Jayden Reed finding the end zone. If Jordan Love continues to spread the ball around like he did on Sunday, there is truly no limit on what the Packers offense is capable of.
Jeff Hafley picked up right where he left off, calling a brilliant defensive performance. Everyone stepped up and played with an anticipation that has been missing.
Now, the Packers have a quick turnaround ahead with the Commanders visiting on Thursday. Jayden Daniels and company looked completely dominant against the Giants.
There is a momentum around this team. It is up to the Packers to capitalize on the next opportunity to go 2-0.
