Aaron Rodgers and the Packers may have decided to go their separate ways, but Matt LaFleur still has a lot of love for his former QB.
Speaking on Rodgers’ devastating injury Wednesday, Green Bay’s head coach said: “I feel for him. Never want to see anybody go through that. Anytime you have a player of his caliber not playing football, it’s bad for the game.”
Joking, “I know I’m an elite physical specimen. I would think someone of his caliber, I would bet he’d have no problem coming back from that,” referencing his own Achilles injury in his first year as Packers HC.
LaFleur said he texted Aaron Rodgers after his injury.

Rodgers tore his Achilles while being wrestled down by Bills defensive end Leonard Floyd on “Monday Night Football,” ending his first (and possibly only) Jets season at just four plays.
Time will tell if this is the last we see of Rodgers as an NFL QB. But if it was his last game, what a ride it was.
