Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been traded yet, but all signs point to Jordan Love being the Week 1 starter for the Packers.
Love, the 26th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, has received limited playing time over the past three seasons. He has 606 career passing yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions.
Even though Love’s potential is undeniable, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur doesn’t want the young gunslinger to enter the 2023 season with unfair expectations.
When speaking about Love during this Tuesday’s media session, LaFleur told reporters, “We all have to kind of temper our expectations for him.”
Unfortunately for LaFleur, it seems like the train already left the station.

Love is ultimately replacing Rodgers in Green Bay. That alone means he’ll be dealing with sky-high expectations.
We’ll see if Love can rise up to the challenge this fall.
