It looks like the Randall Cobb-Packers reunion is going to happen. Green Bay is reportedly in talks to acquire the veteran wide receiver.
On Monday, when it became clear that Aaron Rodgers actually was going to play for the Packers this season, Trey Wingo reported that the quarterback wanted his team to trade for Cobb. A third-round pick for the Packers in 2011, Cobb played eight seasons in Green Bay before spending the last two years with the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans.
Now, Cobb is reportedly coming back to wear the green and gold. He and Rodgers had a strong connection in his first stint with the Packers, so it will be interesting to see how the two perform together now.
Green Bay bringing Cobb back is quite interesting, especially considering Rodgers reportedly demanded it. Not surprisingly, there has been plenty of reaction to this afternoon’s news.

Everyone else can complain about the financials involved, but Randall Cobb potentially coming back to Green Bay is exciting and fun. https://t.co/LtREbdIjXJ

Amari Rodgers on Randall Cobb in April: “My dad was his receiver coach while he was at Kentucky in college. He’s like a big brother to me. My whole middle school career, my whole high school career, he’s always been in my corner giving me tips on the game and stuff like that.”
