It sounds like Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is very much considering – and maybe even leaning toward – returning for another season with the franchise in 2022.
There’s been a lot of speculation that the 2021 season would be Rodgers’ last in Green Bay. He reportedly asked for a trade last offseason, though the Packers didn’t grant it. However, they reportedly agreed to work with him for a potential move in 2022.
But is one necessary?
The Packers’ season came to an abrupt end last weekend, when Green Bay was upset by San Francisco in the Divisional Round. While Rodgers was understandably frustrated by that loss, he might be leaning toward returning for another season in Green Bay.
NFL.com reports that Rodgers actually stuck around for a couple of days, plotting out a potential future in Green Bay.
When the #Packers season ended, QB Aaron Rodgers didn’t immediately fly out of town. Instead, he stayed around for a few days to map out what next year would be like in Green Bay. There is some optimism about his decision.

That feels significant…
“At this point… Rodgers should retire a Packer,” one fan tweeted.
“Packers definitely got their chance to pitch Rodgers on returning,” another fan admitted on social media.
“Aaron Rodgers sticking around Green Bay after the season does mean something. Only time will tell,” one fan added.
“What I’ve learned over the last year or so is that strange things happen when Aaron Rodgers is left to do his own research. Stay tuned,” another fan joked.
Packers fans do have reason to be optimistic, that is for sure.
Don’t buy into the hype…
