NFL World Reacts To Star Running Back’s Honest Admission About Pay Cut

As if Aaron Jones wasn’t already one of the most respected players on the Green Bay Packers, his recent comments about taking a pay cut have made him into a legend.

Jones was recently asked about the team’s decision to lower his salary in 2023 from $16 million to $11 million. But Jones said he doesn’t mind because the number he’s now getting still matches the market and he “didn’t want to be greedy.”

“Wouldn’t say a pay cut cause I’ve never made $11 mil in my career so still most have ever made & still has me at second highest paid RB. It matched up w/market, & I didn’t want to be greedy.”

There’s nothing fans love more than a team player willing to make financial sacrifices for the good of the team. As a result, the replies have been flooded with Packers fans showing praise for Jones and even offering to buy his jersey now.

Was just thinking about a New Jersey. Done and ordered. We are so lucky to have this man on our team!

Aaron Jones will go down as one of the most beloved Green Bay Packers of all time. In terms of endearment, he is to the current generation of fans what Reggie White meant to my generation: goddamn grateful he is a Packer.

Another reason he’s one of my favorite people.

Put this man up on the ring at Lambeau he’s a packers HOF if there ever was one

I think I know a name that needs to come down asap since he’s heading to prison @sammwichh

Aaron Jones has led the Packers in rushing yards in four of the last five seasons. In 2021 the Packers rewarded him with a four-year, $48 million contract, making him one of the highest-paid backs in the league.

With the Packers expected to transition from Aaron Rodgers to Jordan Love at quarterback next year, Jones will probably need to have an even bigger role in helping to guide the team’s young quarterback.

Will Jones have his best season in 2023?
