NFL World Reacts To Significant Aaron Rodgers News

In a surprising turn of events, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is poised to end his months-long standoff with the team and play this coming season.

That’s a pretty big departure from everything we’ve heard over the past few weeks and months. And it’s come as quite a shock to some.

Rodgers openly questioned his future with the team following the Packers’ NFC Championship Game loss in January. In the months that followed, all kinds of reports emerged about his dissatisfaction with the team and potential willingness to retire rather than play again.

But now that the dust is settled, people are starting to realize they whipped themselves into a frenzy for nothing. Some are boasting that they knew all along that this situation would end this way:

He said as much as with The Last Dance post the other day. C’mon, Ian. Pick it up. https://t.co/bZeOvCKQQ0

Fully expecting Rodgers to show up to camp and act like nothing’s wrong, situation normal 🤙 https://t.co/riQRQ9Us3O

Did we really expect anything different? This is it, one more year. https://t.co/9mKjPSVjS1

Is Rodgers about to roll up to camp like, “How was everyone’s summer?” 😂 https://t.co/gxGnLEOlMV

The “Last Dance” references shouldn’t be lost on anyone though. While Aaron Rodgers may be coming back for the 2021 season, there’s a growing belief that this will be his final year in much the same way everyone knew the 1997-98 season would be Michael Jordan’s last with the Chicago Bulls.

Given the structure of Rodgers’ contract with the Packers, we could be looking at something similar down the line.

For now, Rodgers and the Packers won’t be filing for divorce in the next few months.

But we could be looking at a repeat of everything we’ve just gone through in the 2022 offseason.
