Fresh off of getting married to one of the greatest Olympians of our generation, safety Jonathan Owens got a pretty solid gift: A new NFL team to play for.

On Friday, Owens announced on Instagram that he has signed with the Green Bay Packers. He had his new wife Simone Biles by his side for both the signing and a photo at historic Lambeau Field with both of them wearing Packers gear.

“New beginnings. Perfect cap to an amazing week. Let’s get to work 🧀
Year 6 on the way‼️” Owens wrote on Instagram.

Just a few days ago, Owens and Biles tied the knot after several years of dating. Naturally, the four-time Olympic gold medalist was one of the top replies to his message.

“love you babe,” Biles wrote before following that up with a trio of Packers-themed heart emojis.

Owens also received a warm welcome from some of his new Packers teammates and fans.

“Welcome brotha,” running back AJ Dillon wrote.

“Houston’s loss. I’m now a fan of the Pack’s secondary! Go JO!” wrote a fan.

“Let’s gooooo! Congrats JO, can’t wait to catch a few at Lambeau!” a third replied.

It’s been a pretty good offseason for Jonathan Owens so far. Here’s to a great year ahead and a great life with Simone Biles.
