Mason Crosby’s wife appeared to confirm the kicker isn’t returning to the Green Bay Packers next season.
Olympic gymnast Simone Biles asked Twitter users for local recommendations after her husband, safety Jonathan Owens signed the Packers. Molly Crosby seemed to close the book on her free-agent husband staying with the team.
“Sad we will miss you,” Molly replied to Biles, via Sports Illustrated. “We just ended a 16 year run with the team…that being said…I’ve got some stuff I need to share with you. Little city with a big heart and some AMAZING stores and restaurants. We loved our time there and so will you! Let’s talk coats, boots, custom packer gear…”
She has since deleted the tweet, reposting to eliminate references to Mason’s Green Bay tenure ending. However, fans saw the original post on Saturday and responded to an unconfirmed possibility of Crosby’s Packers career concluding.

Crosby has kicked for the Packers since 2007. The team’s all-time points leader broke Brett Favre’s franchise record for consecutive games played late last season.
However, Green Bay appeared to signal an end to their longtime relationship by drafting kicker Anders Carlson in the sixth round. Crosby has made 395 of 485 career field-goal attempts, going 25-of-29 in 2022.
Crosby leaving would further solidify a new beginning for the Packers.
