While at the NFL owners meeting this Monday, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst faced a lot of questions from the media about Aaron Rodgers.
When Rodgers was on The Pat McAfee Show earlier this month, he said the Packers were shopping him behind his back. That’s why he wants to play for the Jets.
Gutekunst, meanwhile, claims Rodgers left the Packers in the dark this offseason.
“Our inability to reach him or for him to respond in any way, I think at that point, I had to do my job and kind of reach out [to other teams] and understand that a trade could be possible and see who was interested,” Gutekunst told reporters.
If Gutekunst is telling the truth, that’ll change how some fans view this situation. For weeks, the NFL world thought Green Bay disrespected Rodgers.
After hearing what Gutekunst had to say, it sounds like Rodgers ghosted the Packers.

The Jets and Packers have not yet agreed to a trade involving Rodgers.
However, Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports said Green Bay and New York made progress in trade talks this week.
