“April showers bring May flowers” as the saying goes. But for one NFL city, the first day of May is bringing something else to their football stadium. You can probably guess which one too.
On Monday morning, the Lambeau Field Twitter account released footage of snowfall at the Green Bay Packers’ iconic stadium. As of writing, it’s 34 degrees and still snowing, with temperatures not expected to rise above the low-40s by midday.
Green Bay, Wisconsin almost always ranks among the coldest NFL cities in the country and by November through January tends to have snowfall one or more times on or around gameday.
But this late in the year is a little bit out of the ordinary for Green Bay to have snow.

According to Wikipedia, at this time of year the temperature in Green Bay tends to range from 46 degrees all the way to the high-60s. Even in April the low temperature ranges from the mid-30s to the mid-50s.
Hopefully the snow plows in Green Bay haven’t been put away in storage too far away. It looks like they’re going to need them today.
How much snow do you expect Green Bay to receive during the 2023 NFL season?
