After 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers is moving on.
Rodgers, who was traded to the New York Jets this week, may have ended his relationship with Packers fans on a sour note, but he’s still grateful for his time with the iconic NFL franchise.
Rodgers penned a heartfelt letter of appreciation to the Packers organization, players and fanbase, releasing it on Instagram tonight.
“I’m not sure it’s possible to fully express the gratitude that I have to the @packers, our incredible fans, the state of Wisconsin, the thousands of players that I crossed paths with, the incredible men and women who work for the organization, and the amazing people who I got to meet along the way, in one post with 10 pictures, but I hope you read this and feel my heart and soul, filled with love, joy, and peace about my time in green and gold,” Rodgers said.
“This is not the end for us,” he continued. “I will see you again Green Bay, you’ll always have my heart.”
With Green Bay, Rodgers won one Super Bowl and four MVP awards, earned 10 trips to the Pro Bowl and was voted first-team All-Pro four times.
He will officially be introduced as the new quarterback of the New York Jets in a press conference at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
