Not only did Jacobs achieve that, he set a career high in touchdowns with 16.
Coming into the 2025 season though Jacobs has goals of his own.
The biggest one is every NFL players goal, to win a Super Bowl.
But there are smaller goals that Jacobs would like to achieve before getting to the big one.
Goals for 2025
One of them is to win a playoff game, something he hasn’t done in his 7 year career.
Before coming to the Packers Jacobs only made one playoff appearance with the Raiders.
That came in 2021, but the Raiders were one-and-done with a 26-19 loss at Cincinnati.
Last year Jacobs did all he could against the Eagles in the Wild Card round, but the result was the same.
A 22-10 loss to the Eagles still stings a little for Jacobs, who ran for 81 yards against a stealthy defense.
Jacobs said “Just to see the Eagles go win a Super Bowl and, in my opinion, we played them the best out of any team last year and we was banged up a lot at the end,”
But Jacobs says he is optimistic about the new season.
Jacobs thinks there are lessons from last season the team could learn from.
“For me, seeing how close we are is just about figuring out what we need to do to take that next step to get over the hump.”
Jacobs continued to say “like I said, it all comes down to putting in the work, putting in the time.”
With the key additions in Free agency and the draft to both offense and defense Jacobs think the team is ready to go.
Leadership role

Jacobs has definitely taken up a leadership role since joining the Packers in 2024.
As one of the leaders of the team Jacobs defiantly felt an urgency this offseason to help make the next step for the team.
During the off-season, Jacobs said the team needed some additions to help the team.
The Packers did just that by adding Aaron Banks and Nate Hobbs in free agency.
Then drafting Matthew Golden in the first round, the pressure definitely there for the Packers.
“You feel the urgency just from the way the guys are going about practicing and the details and the way they’re on top of everything.”
Conclusion
It seems like the Packers are ready to take the next step in 2025.
Even with the improvement in wins in 2024 from 9 to 11, the team isn’t content.
The team struggled at times in 2024 especially in those divisional games.
1-5 against the division in one of the toughest divisions isn’t going to cut it.
Josh Jacobs seems like he ready to help the team and improve on last years performance.
Their first test in the 2025 won’t be easy as they face the reigning NFC North Champion Detroit Lions.
But that will set the tone for the 2025 season.
For Josh Jacobs and the Packers, they are up to the challenge.
