Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has endured a lot of slings and arrows from sports media over the past week. But on one drive he made it clear that he has the skills to pay the bills.
In the first quarter of today’s preseason game against the New England Patriots, Love led the Packers on a superb drive that culminated in a touchdown. And he was responsible for most of the movement.
On the second play of the drive, Love was stuck behind the five-yard line. He dropped back to his endzone and launched a bomb to wide receiver Romeo Doubs for a 42-yard gain.
He followed that up with an 11-yard run that was aided by a 15-yard Patriots penalty.
Finally, with the ball at the Patriots’ 19-yard line, Love found rookie wide receiver Jayden Reed for a superb touchdown.

Fans took to the comments to proclaim that Jordan Love is finally ready for his breakout year.
“Lasers. The time is now for J. love. Go pack go,” one user replied.
“Looking good. Following the history of packers qbs,” wrote another.
“Packers are really about to have 3 HOF QB’s in a row,” a third wrote.
That last one might be putting the cart before the horse, but Love looks pretty good right now.
