The Jordan Love era is officially underway in Green Bay.
On Friday night, Love looked sharp in the Packers’ preseason opener against the Bengals. He completed 7-of-10 pass attempts for 46 yards with a touchdown.
The only negative takeaway from Love’s performance is that he missed a wide-open Luke Musgrave for what would’ve been a first down.
Considering there’s a ton of pressure on Love this season, we’d say he handled his first test fairly well.

Even though Love looked very sharp against the Bengals, the Packers will not sit him for the remainder of the preseason.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur told reporters that Love will receive a few more reps before Week 1.
“I would anticipate him playing some more, as well,” LaFleur said, via ESPN. “Whether that’s next week or whether that’s versus Seattle [in the preseason finale], we’ll kind of see how the week goes, see how practices are going. We’ve got two big practices coming up against New England that are going to be really good for him, and we’re just going to play it by ear.”
The Packers will face the Patriots at home next Saturday. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET.
