It’s Jordan Love’s turn to take the reins in Titletown, but that doesn’t mean he and his mentor don’t still have a relationship.
Speaking to the media Wednesday, Love revealed that Aaron Rodgers reached out to him prior to his first NFL training camp as QB1. And this is what the four-time MVP had to say:
Aaron reached out to me last night and he said, ‘Be yourself, have fun, enjoy it.’ It’s obviously my time now and he just said ‘Be yourself.’ I mean, that’s all you can do. That’s kinda been the message for everybody is be yourself, don’t try to be anybody else, don’t try to be Aaron, things like that.

Fans appreciated Rodgers’ message for his former understudy.
“The fact Rodgers still maintains a relationship with Love is amazing,” a fan said. “If anyone knows about this situation it’s Aaron. I’ll never forget the signs ‘We Want Brett” at Packers practice field.”

So far, the Packers locker room has been impressed with Love’s growth as a QB. But we’ll see how it goes once Week 1 kicks off.
