Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is trending on social media on Sunday, but not because he could potentially start next season.
He’s expected to be the backup after ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Packers are willing to go all-in for Rodgers. That means that they’re willing to spend to the cap and spread it into future years as well.
Packers are prepared to go all in for Aaron Rodgers in 2022, spending as close to the cap this year and spreading it into future years as much as possible, per sources. Saints used this approach for Drew Brees and Green Bay willing to deploy that model to further entice Rogers.

This would be massive for the Packers as Rodgers won the NFL MVP award for the second straight season. He finished with 37 touchdowns and four interceptions off 4,115 passing yards.
Green Bay is still searching for its first Super Bowl berth with Rodgers since 2011. That year, the Packers took down the Steelers 31-25 to win their first and only Super Bowl thus far with Rodgers.
If Rodgers does come back, that would spell trouble for Love. He’d be the backup to Rodgers again after he was drafted to be his heir apparent.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but the drafting of Jordan Love can only be viewed through the lens of the facts at the time.
No one, even Aaron Rodgers’ biggest fans, predicted he’d be a back-to-back MVP after the 15-19 stretch.

Love appeared in six games this season and finished with two touchdowns and three interceptions on 411 passing yards.
If Rodgers does decide to come back, it will only make the Love pick even more questionable.
