A blockbuster trade involving Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been completed yet. That being said, Jets general manager Joe Douglas thinks it’s only a matter of time before the four-time MVP ends up in New York.

On Friday night, Douglas attended an event hosted by WFAN. While on stage, Boomer Esiason asked him about Rodgers.

“He’s gonna be here,” Douglas told Esiason. “He’s going to get here eventually baby.”

The crowd at this WFAN event erupted into a frenzy after Douglas made these comments.

The good news for Jets fans is that most of the framework surrounding this trade has been completed. At least that’s what ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler reported earlier this week.

“A lot of this deal, I’m told, remains pretty much done,” Fowler said. “They’re close, just they have some of those draft compensation considerations that they have to shake out.”

Rodgers would turn the Jets into an AFC contender, make no mistake about it.
