Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed is officially questionable with a foot injury and a shoulder ailment entering Sunday’s showdown against the Chicago Bears. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that he plans on playing through the pain. While nothing is official as of this posting, the NFL insider says that Reed “is expected to play” against Green Bay’s fiercest rival.

Jayden Reed Injury Update: Packers WR Expected to Play Against Bears
This could be huge news for the Packers, as Jayden Reed has missed the vast majority of the season to injury. While he entered the season with a clean bill of health, he went down in Week 2 and hasn’t played since September 11th. The wide receiver has caught three receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown this season, with all of that production coming in Week 1’s win over the Detroit Lions.
When not battling injury, Jayden Reed can be a key part of Green Bay’s passing attack. The wide receiver stayed healthy last year, appearing in all 17 games while making 10 starts. During his time on the field, the second-year veteran finished the season with 55 receptions for 857 yards and six touchdowns. As a rookie, he recorded 64 receptions for 793 yards and eight touchdowns on a career-high 94 targets. Green Bay has always believed in an even distribution of targets, and adding a player like Reed back into the mix should only make their passing attack that much more dangerous.
Assuming Schefter’s report is correct, Jayden Reed couldn’t time his return from injury any better. At 9-3, the Chicago Bears currently have the best record in the NFC. However, the Packers are close behind at 8-3-1 and would take the lead in the NFC North if they win.
