In 2022, Reed played in all 17 games for the Packers, starting in 14 of them. Reed provided solid depth and run-stopping ability along the defensive line, as he recorded 29 tackles. In addition, Reed had 2.5 sacks, 14 quarterback hits, and forced one fumble while recovering two fumbles.

Reed played for the Packers after signing a one-year, $3.25 million contract with the team on March 23rd, 2022. His best performance of the season came in a Week 15 win against the Miami Dolphins on Christmas Day. Reed ultimately played a pivotal role for the Packers in this game to keep their playoff hopes alive, as he registered one sack along with forcing a Raheem Mostert fumble that he recovered himself.

Jarran Reed was drafted out of Alabama in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks with the 49th overall selection. In both his rookie and sophomore seasons, Reed played in 15 games and recorded 1.5 sacks.

In 2018, Reed had a breakout season for the team, as he finished with a career-high 10.5 sacks and 24 quarterback hits. However, Reed’s momentum was stalled as he was suspended for the first six games of the 2019 season. This suspension was related to a violation of the personal conduct policy for an incident dating back to early 2017.

Once Reed returned, he finished the 2019 season with two sacks in ten games played. He then signed a two-year, $23 million contract extension with the Seahawks in March 2020. In 2020, Reed started every game for the Seahawks and had 6.5 sacks. Reed’s best performance of the year came in the Wild Card round of the playoffs when he had two sacks of Rams quarterback Jared Goff in a Seahawks loss.

After being released from the team in March 2021, Reed signed a one-year, $5 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs, In his lone season with the Chiefs in 2021, Reed finished with 2 forced fumbles and 2.5 sacks.
