It didn’t take more than a few minutes after Deebo Samuel announced his trade request for teams to emerge as potential destinations.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, four teams are quickly emerging as favorites to make an offer for the All-Pro receiver. Per the report, the New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions are all interested.
The Jets are being linked more than almost any other team at the moment though. They were openly courting Tyreek Hill before the Chiefs traded him to the Miami Dolphins.
While it remains to be seen whether Samuel would even be willing to play for the Jets, he has stronger connection to the team that their other trade targets. Jets head coach Robert Saleh, offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur and many other members of their staff used to work with Samuel on the 49ers.
Among the teams to consider as the trade market for Deebo Samuel heats up: The #Jets, the #Packers, the #Chiefs, the #Lions… and, I assume, most other teams who like really good players. https://t.co/onrd55k3s3

The Packers, Chiefs and Lions all have vacancies that could be filled by Samuel too though. Green Bay and Kansas City both lost All-Pro wide receivers via trades, while Detroit are still looking for their No. 1 wideout.
But there are a lot of teams that would love to bring on an all-world wide receiver who’s only three years into his career.
This offseason has shown that anything is possible though.
Where do you think Deebo Samuel will play in 2022?
