Having a Healthy Jordan Love benefits the Packers

June 24, 2025 by Packers Talk

Last year Jordan Love had a little bit of a set back year in his second season as starting QB.

It all started with a knee injury back in week one of last season.

That kept him out for a couple of games.

But once Love returned he wasn’t the same Jordan Love we were used to seeing.

As the season wore on Love got better but injuries came back to bug him a few weeks later.

Although the injury didn’t cause him to miss any games, Love stats show that perhaps he needed some time to heal.

Love’s touchodwn numbers were down from 2023 where he only had 25 touchdowns.

He threw 32 touchdowns the year before.

If you look at his yardage through the air that was down as well.

in 2024 he threw for 3,389 yard but in 2023 he threw for 4,159.

Should we freak out about those numbers at all?

The short answer is absolutely not.

The numbers put up by Love last year were just a bit off, but if he had played all 18 games, perhaps he would’ve surpassed those numbers.

Benefiting from a Healthy Jordan Love

Packers Jordan Love

Coming into 2025, Love has healed up from all of his injuries.

That is good news not only for Love but for the Packers as well.

Why?

Because having a healthy Jordan Love benefits the Packers.

Not only is Love the leader of this team, he’s got the car keys to the Packers drive to the Super Bowl.

Without Love in command of the offense, you could see how the Packers offense runs.

While they could rely on Malik Willis, who was able to fill in nicely for Love, the Packers need Love to run the offense.

There is a reason why Love is the highest paid QB.

Since taking over at QB for the Packers in 2023 he ranks 10th in passing yards with 7,548 yards.

Since 2023 he also ranks 15th in QBR with a rating of 96.3 which is right behind MVP Josh Allen.

So even though he was injured last year Love was still able to put up numbers.

Patience is the key when it comes to Love, but so far in the 2025 offseason, the Packers have done everything they can to help their QB.

From signing Aaron Banks on the offensive line to drafting weapons like Matthew Golden and Savion Williams, they Packers offense has all the talent.

With a healthy Jordan Love in 2025 and all those additions, we could easily see a breakout season not only from Love but the offense as well.

So far during mini-camp and the offseason workouts, the Packers coach staff like what they see from the offense.

We’ll just have to wait till July during training camp to see how the offense will take shape.
