Georgia draft prospects for Packers fans to watch during College Football Playoff

January 1, 2025 by Packers Wire

Since 2021, Brian Gutekunst has selected four Georgia Bulldogs, with all four picks coming on the defensive side of the ball. The Bulldogs once again have a ton of talent on the defensive side of the ball that could keep the Georgia to Green Bay pipeline churning. They also have some offensive linemen who could be targets for the Packers as they look for depth up front.

The top prospects for Georgia include safety Malaki Starks, edge rusher Mykel Williams and hybrid defensive star, Jalon Walker. All three players figure to be off the board by the time Green Bay is on the clock. Let’s look at the rest of the Bulldogs that could be on Green Bay’s radar for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Daylen Everette, CB

Everette is light-footed and stays locked into the hip of the wide receiver. He shows good route awareness and uses his length to tighten windows. He shows a willingness in run support, although he will have to clean up his technique (13 missed tackles this season).

Jared Wilson, C

The starting center for the Bulldogs anchors well in pass sets and has patient, powerful hands. During his first season as a full-time starter, Wilson has given up zero sacks and five pressures.

Nazir Stackhouse, DT

Stackhouse is a brick house. The Georgia defensive tackle can be hard to uproot and eats up double teams for the Bulldogs. While he offers little to nothing as an interior pass rusher, Stackhouse controls his gap and could step in immediately and help an NFL team’s run defense.

Warren Brinson, DT

Brinson is another stout run defender. He’s powerful at the point of attack and over the past five games, Brinson has recorded 13 run stops 4.5 tackles for loss. He has the power to reset the line of scrimmage and stays balanced through contact.

Xavier Truss, OL

Georgia’s starting right tackle has started games at left tackle and both guard spots during his time in Athens. Truss paves the way as a run blocker and has good range. The versatile offensive linemen could be a Day 3 target for the Packers as they look for depth along the offensive line.

Smael Mondon Jr, LB

Mondon has excellent change of direction skills to excel in coverage. He’s a rangy athlete to make plays sideline-to-sideline. He’s a reliable open field tackler, with eight missed tackles over the past two seasons. During his time at Georgia, Mondon has logged 416 snaps on special teams.
