Former Packers Star Has Honest Comment About Aaron Rodgers Trade

April 2, 2023 by The Spun

Ever since his appearance on the Pat McAfee Show earlier this month, Aaron Rodgers has resumed being quiet. For one ex-Packer and teammate of Rodgers, that in itself is noteworthy.

On Thursday’s edition of the Pat McAfee Show, former Packers linebacker and show co-host AJ Hawk was pressed on why no trade has happened yet. Hawk struggled to explain it himself, pointing out that the Packers and Jets are simply not budging off their current positions.

“I’m not hearing anything and it feels a little too quiet to me,” Hawk said. McAfee suggested that it could be the “calm before the storm,” but Hawk shrugged it off.

Fans seem to think that Hawk knows a lot more than he’s letting on though. They think he’s trying to play it off like he doesn’t know anything when in reality he knows something big.

What’s going on with Aaron Rodgers?

“AJ could have Duce little and big joker and Ace spade and still call 2 with a P. Can’t trust his words. Man is tight,” one user replied.

“I love how the crew chips away at AJ, to get him to crack. That smile says, he definitely knows something,” wrote another.

“Rodgers is probably having discussions w/ NYJ about staying patient & not giving up the 1st rd draft pick. GB has nothing to lose at the moment, so that’s why they’re dug in wanting the specific compensation. Times a ticking though,” a third wrote.

What do you think is happening behind the scenes?
