Former Packers Executive Reacts To Aaron Rodgers Rumors

March 6, 2022 by The Spun

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Amid rumors that Aaron Rodgers will soon make a final decision on his plans for the 2022 NFL season, one former Green Bay Packers executive who worked with him has some “thoughts.”

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Andrew Brandt addressed the “reporting” on the Packers and Aaron Rodgers. He listed off all of the various narratives that have arisen from the past few weeks and seemed to hint that the Packers were behind the confusion.

Reporting on Packers/Aaron…
“Aaron definitely wants to stay!”
“Aaron is torn!”
“Packers not engaging in trade talks.”
“If there were trade talks — but they’re not — they would be with Denver, Tennessee or Pittsburgh.”
“But did we mention..no trade talks!”
Packers working it..

Clearly we can count Brandt among the many, many people who are getting tired of the Aaron Rodgers news (or lack thereof). Thankfully – mercifully – it should all be over in a matter of days.

Rumors have emerged this weekend that Aaron Rodgers’ final decision with the Packers is coming this very week.

It was widely believed prior to the 2021 season that last season would be Rodgers’ last or second-to-last year with the Packers. But after leading the Packers to the NFC’s best record and winning the MVP award, it appears that something changed.

If Rodgers really is returning to the Packers, a contract extension is sure to follow. If not, we could be looking at the biggest potential trade of a quarterback ever.

Are you as sick and tired of the Aaron Rodgers-Packers rumors as Andrew Brandt is?
