The 2010 Green Bay Packers are one of the few teams in NFL history to win the Super Bowl as a No. 6 seed, but there was one member of that title-winning team that a top Packers executive had a devil of a time recruiting.
Taking to Twitter on Friday, former Packers executive Andrew Brandt retweeted a post highlighting Charles Woodson’s incredible 2009 season with the team when he won the Defensive Player of the Year award. Brandt then admitted that recruiting Woodson to play for the Packers in 2006 was one of his toughest tasks.
“Toughest recruiting I ever had…” Brandt wrote.
Packers fans took to the comments to thank Brandt for his efforts in bringing Woodson into the fold:

“We thank you for it. I guarantee Woodson does too. It’s wild how he didn’t wanna come to Green Bay, yet he fell in love with it while playing for Pack. He’s come back and talked to team in preseason as motivation. Wood joining the Pack was best thing for his career,” one fan replied.
“In the end, You got the job done my friend,” wrote another.
“Reggie White and Charles Woodson… 2 players that netted the Packers 2 Super Bowl victories. They were the difference makers of a generation. Kudos on your efforts!” a third wrote.
Woodson was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021. It’s questionable if he would have gotten in as quickly as he did without the incredible run he had in Titletown.
