The Chicago Bears are expected to make a sizable leap in 2023, but ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky doesn’t think it means they’ll be better than the Packers.
On Tuesday’s “Get Up,” the former NFC North QB said that Chicago’s roster is “not nearly as good” as Green Bay’s and he expects the Packers to be a playoff team.
The Bears had the No. 1 pick in the draft. They had the No. 1 pick for a reason. That roster, while it’s improved, is not nearly as good as the Green Bay Packers roster. … If Jordan Love is average, this team is playing for a playoff spot in December. If he’s average. If he’s anything like a first-round pick should be, this is a playoff team.
“The Bears roster, while it has improved, is not NEARLY as good as the Packers roster. If Jordan Love is average, this team is playing for a playoff spot in Dec. If he’s anything like a 1st-round pick should be, this is a playoff team.”

After trading away Aaron Rodgers to the Jets for multiple picks, the decks have been cleared for Jordan Love to take the reins and lead the Packers into the future.
In 10 career games and one start, Love has thrown for 606 yards and three touchdowns while completing 60% of his passes.
As for the Bears, the pressure is on Justin Fields to show that he’s franchise QB the Windy City has been waiting for since Sid Luckman.
