Not much going on this week relative to the Packers…
The Packers did sign Edgerrin Cooper, leaving Jordan Morgan and Javon Bullard as the only unsigned draft picks. According to Ken Ingalls, over 76% of his rookie deal is in guaranteed money.
Update – Edgerrin Cooper got 96% of his year 3 salary guaranteed. Overall received $6,568,275 (76.38%) of his rookie deal guaranteed. https://t.co/PI0pytauAR

Tom Brady has been making the rounds of the sports talk shows, likely as a tuneup to his upcoming TV analyst role in the fall. One interesting thing he said was about Jordan Love and the Packers way of developing quarterbacks.: On Love, he said. “”He had Aaron Rodgers to watch. That’s the best type of training, in my opinion. Watch someone else do it at a very high level and then try to emulate them with your own personality, Maybe a little bit of a misnomer with the draft is that these players can come in and all of the sudden become this great professional player before they’ve really had the training and the development.” I don’t know how good of a game analyst Brady will be, but I’ll definitely listen when he talks about developing quarterbacks.
The NFL did a Packers top-10 play video and asked which of these plays is your favorite. If you haven’t seen it…

Of these 10, my favorite would have to be the Savage INT, simply because there may be nothing sweeter than hearing Dak Prescott’s ridiculous “Hey, here we go” cadence followed by a pick six. That’s a chef’s kiss.
The biggest question mark for me on this defense is Eric Stokes. Will he be the same player who impressed when thrown into the fire as a rookie? Has he really put the injuries behind him after joining Christain Watson in being evaluated by the sports medicine specialists at UW- Madison? Will he be the starting corner opposite Jaire Alexander or at least get meaningful reps while splitting time with Carrington Valentine? Or will will his play show us the reason the Packers elected not to pick up his fifth year option? I for one am placing my bets on Carrington Valentine – i just love his demeanor and style of play and all indications would be that it fits what we expect Jeff Hafley’s defense to be like.
So it seems Tucker Kraft, as I assumed in last week’s column, tore his pec the same way LaFleur did – bench pressing. Kraft gave a little more detail, stating that he did it not with heavy weights, but rather while “speed benching.” While the name would seem self evident, if you want to dig deeper, here’s an excellent video about it:
